We all could use some help in organizing our desks. These 5 simple tips will help streamline the process at your company or home office.

1. Get Ready

Block a window of time aside. Put this in your calendar to avoid interruptions.

2. Be Prepared

What this means is have file folders, labels, scissors, markers, label maker, trash bags, empty boxes, etc. ready to begin organizing.

3. Remove Desk top Clutter

You cannot work if you have no desktop space. Clear your desk.

4. Begin the Sorting Process

Sort items into priorities of completion:

1-low; 2-median; 3-high

Donate (books, duplicate office supplies,etc.)

5. Establish a System for your Things

Use basic tiered filing bins or racks for the things on your desk.
